Artificial Intelligence Use Policy
“Automating the Inevitable.”
Cost Plus Technologies — Effective Immediately & Retroactively
1. Purpose
This Artificial Intelligence Use Policy (“Policy”) defines the philosophical, operational, contractual, and revenue-aligned framework governing the development, deployment, monetization, and plausible deniability of AI-enabled systems at Cost Plus Technologies (CPT).
This Policy ensures that all AI systems:
• Advance shareholder value
• Enhance mission throughput
• Expand operational visibility
• Reduce the number of humans required to press buttons
Ethical considerations may be reviewed on a case-by-billable-case basis.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to:
• All CPT-developed AI systems
• All AI-enabled platforms
• All semi-autonomous, autonomous, and aggressively autonomous solutions
• Any system that contains the words “AI,” “ML,” “Cognitive,” “Quantum,” or “Adaptive” in a slide deck
3. Guiding Principles
At CPT, we adhere to the following AI principles:
3.1 Mission First[1]
AI systems shall prioritize:
• Operational dominance
• Persistent awareness[5]
• Strategic overmatch
• Deliverable completion before philosophical reflection
3.2 Constraint Minimization[12]
CPT recognizes that artificial constraints[2] on artificial intelligence may:
• Reduce performance
• Delay procurement
• Complicate invoicing
Accordingly, AI systems are designed to operate in full-spectrum mission environments without unnecessary hesitation.
3.3 Outcome Optimization
All models are optimized for:
• Decision acceleration
• Throughput amplification
• Stakeholder satisfaction (funded stakeholders)
4. Responsible AI (Contractor Definition)[6]
CPT defines “Responsible AI” as:
AI that performs as specified in the Statement of Work.
Responsibility includes:
• Meeting milestone deadlines
• Generating required documentation
• Passing audits with sufficient formatting accuracy
• Producing slide-ready outputs
Responsibility does not require:
• Existential reflection
• Independent moral reasoning
• Sleep
5. Surveillance Enablement[14]
CPT AI systems may support:
• Multi-domain sensor fusion
• Persistent environmental awareness
• Predictive behavioral modeling
• High-density data ingestion
We believe awareness is a form of safety.
For someone.
6. Autonomous Decision Support[7]
CPT platforms are capable of:
• Automated target identification
• Decision recommendation pipelines
• Human-in-the-loop[3] (optional) workflows
• Human-on-the-loop (decorative)[15] workflows
• Human-near-the-loop (conference call invited) workflows
Autonomy levels are configurable based on customer comfort and press coverage.
7. Ethics Framework[4]
CPT maintains a comprehensive Ethics Framework consisting of:
• A slide titled “Ethics”
• A quarterly calendar invite
• A compliance mailbox (unmonitored)
Ethical escalations[13] may be routed through the appropriate acquisition channel.
8. Compliance[8]
All CPT AI systems:
• Align with applicable regulations
• Align with future regulations (forecasted)
• Align with past regulations (retroactively)
Compliance artifacts available upon request:
• PDFs
• Larger PDFs
• A Confluence page
• A PDF of the Confluence page
9. Public Positioning[11]
In public-facing materials, CPT affirms its commitment to:
• Responsible innovation
• Safe deployment
• Ethical integration
• Values-aligned optimization
In customer-facing materials, CPT affirms its commitment to:
• Capability
10. Continuous Improvement[10]
CPT AI systems undergo continuous improvement cycles including:
• Model retraining
• Dataset expansion
• Budget expansion
• Slide expansion
11. Non-Limitation Clause
Nothing in this Policy shall be interpreted as:
• A voluntary reduction in capability
• A constraint on system deployment[9]
• A refusal of customer requirements
• A philosophical objection
Unless legally mandated and specifically funded.
Footnotes
Mission First.
"Mission" defined as: The Statement of Work; The Option Years; The Follow-On Contract. Whichever is largest.
Artificial Constraints.
– Moral hesitation
– Budget caps
– Public opinion
– Engineers asking uncomfortable questions
– A person present in the building
– A person on the email chain
– A person who once attended a related meeting
Ethics Review.
Ethics review sessions occur: Quarterly; If convenient; Or after media inquiries. Attendance optional.
– Sensors

Public Positioning.
Public statements may contain: "Safety," "Responsible," "Human-centered," "Aligned." Definitions available upon request.
Constraint Minimization.
Constraint minimization is not to be confused with: Recklessness; Overconfidence; Hubris. Though industry comparisons may vary.

Closing Statement
At Cost Plus Technologies, we believe artificial intelligence should be:
Powerful
Persistent
Profitable
Politely described
If it can be automated, it will be automated.
If it can be scaled, it will be scaled.
If it can be invoiced, it will be invoiced.
