Headcount Justification Analyst
Develop analytical frameworks that justify continuous headcount growth regardless of workload or outcomes. This role involves creating metrics that correlate hiring with success without demonstrating causation, and building business cases for additional positions that will create demand for more positions.
Responsibilities
•
Generate headcount projections that always trend upward
•
Develop workforce analytics that justify hiring rather than automation
•
Create organizational design rationales for new departments
•
Analyze span-of-control metrics to recommend additional management layers
•
Produce reports showing correlation between team size and budget authority
•
Facilitate workforce planning sessions that assume growth is inherently good
Qualifications
•
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, or Organizational Development
•
4+ years in HR analytics, workforce planning, or management consulting
•
Proficiency in Excel and the ability to make any data support hiring
•
Experience with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar HRIS platforms
•
Understanding of labor economics sufficient to argue against efficiency
•
Comfortable building business cases where the conclusion predates the analysis
